Need to manage the overall capacity for your event, or quantities for specific prices? Want to limit the number of tickets a person can place in their cart for a specific price? These settings can help you accomplish that.
Warning:
- If a date or price has already oversold and a Max Sales is added later, all previously purchased tickets will remain valid, though it will prevent future reservations by the public.
- Your Box Office Sell Tickets tool will allow you to exceed the max sales of both dates and prices for your event. This is something to be mindful of if you are selling tickets at the door.
Add a Max Capacity for a Date
This tool is useful when you have different price levels that count toward the same limited pool of tickets, such as an event in a venue with a strict capacity limit with tickets available at General, Student and Senior prices.
Adding a max sales to your date will cut off sales once the limit is reached, regardless of what price level the tickets are sold at.
Adjust the Date Max Sales
- You can set a max sales when adding a new date or editing an existing one
- Look for the Max Available Tickets section under Add a Date or under the date you are editing
- Toggle the radio button from Unlimited to the second option
- Edit the number in the box to reflect the max number of tickets that should be available for the event date
- Click the Save Changes button
Add a Limited Max Sales To a Price
This is an ideal tool when handling limited availability for prices like VIPs, tables, and discounted prices.
Adjust the Max Sales Setting
- Log in to your account. From the Account menu, select Manage Your Events
- In line with the event title, select Go!
- Choose Dates & Prices from the dark gray bar
- Scroll down to Your Dates & Prices
- In line with the price, click the Edit or Delete Price link
- Under Price Limitations locate Max Sales
- Select the option to enter a specific number and input your max
- Click Save Changes
- Repeat steps for additional prices as needed
Limit Attendee Reservations for a Price
Set a limit for how many tickets can be placed in a cart during a session by using the Max Per Order option. This is ideal for free or discounted tickets, or to prevent overbuying on popular events.
Adjust the Max Per Order Setting
- Log in to your account. From the Account menu, select Manage Your Events
- In line with the event title, select Go!
- Choose Dates & Prices from the dark gray bar
- Scroll down to Your Dates & Prices
- In line with the price, click the Edit or Delete Price link
- Under Price Limitations locate Max Per Order
- Select the option to enter a specific number and input your max
- Click Save Changes
- Repeat steps for additional prices as needed
