Is Brown Paper Tickets GDPR Compliant?

What is GDPR? GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation.

Brown Paper Tickets is a global ticketing company, and GDPR compliance is a top priority. We will be ready when it goes into effect on May 25, 2018.

From the beginning, Brown Paper Tickets has had a policy of not sharing or selling event organizer or ticket buyer data, so GDPR is in line with our privacy values.

Ticket buyers: When you buy a ticket, your information is provided to Brown Paper Tickets and the event organizer so you can attend your event. Brown Paper Tickets will not send you any marketing materials unless you ask for them. We also won’t share or sell your data. And once your event is over, you can request to have your personal data removed from Brown Paper Tickets’ systems. Unless you agree to otherwise, the only communication you will receive from Brown Paper Tickets will be about the specific event you purchased tickets to.

Event organizers: Brown Paper Tickets will not share or sell your attendee information, and we won’t send them marketing materials without their explicit consent.
