Designate Your Event as (Explicit) Adult Content, Age-Restricted, or Unsuitable for Children

Brown Paper Tickets is proud to support events of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. With such a wide variety, we recognize that some events may not be appropriate for all ages. There are a number of ways to designate this, depending on your needs.

Adult Events Setting

If your event contains explicit adult content, you can designate this during event setup. Adult content can include:

  • Sexually suggestive material
  • Sexually explicit material

Designating an Event "Adult Content" will enact the following:

    • Remove it from default search results
    • Include it in the Adult Events filter
    • Require customers to verify their age in order to view the event in search results

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if your event contains adult content—no one knows the event better than the organizer.

Age-Restricted Events

If you're hosting an event that requires attendees to meet a minimum age requirement, you can include this during event setup. The age requirement will be displayed on the public event page and ticket buyers will be required to check a box before purchase stating that they understand the requirement.
