You work hard to promote your events, but how do you know if your efforts are paying off? Meta Pixel (formerly known as Facebook Pixel) is a robust marketing analytics tool that can measure the effectiveness of your advertising campaigns. When installed, you can track a visitor’s interactions, including views or purchases on your Brown Paper Tickets event page.
You must have a website and a Meta Business Account to use Meta Pixels.
Once you have a Meta Business Account, create and install a Meta Pixel through Meta Events Manager. This article will take you through the process.
Add Unique Pixel IDs to Individual Events
Have your Meta Pixel ID number on hand before you begin. The Pixel ID is found in your Meta Events Manager.
- Log in to your Brown Paper Tickets account
- Go to Manage Your Events
- Click GO! next to the event you want to track
- Click Settings
- Paste the Pixel ID into the box labeled Facebook Pixel ID
Fast Checkout must be enabled to track ticket purchases. Otherwise, the Pixel will only track page views. Select Fast Checkout from the list of checkboxes near the bottom of your event's Settings tab. - Scroll down and click Save Changes
Add a Default Pixel to Your Account Settings
You can save a pixel as an account default so the same pixel is automatically added to your future events.
- Log in to your Brown Paper Tickets account
- Select Account Settings from the left side menu
- Scroll down to Settings
- Paste the Pixel ID (note: not the tracker code) into the box labeled Facebook Pixel ID
- Click Save Changes
