If you have reserved an online event ticket in advance, you will be sent a link and instructions to access the digital content. When and how that invitation is delivered to you is determined by the Event Organizer.
Here are some tips to help you locate your access instructions.
Check Your Order Confirmation Email
Some events deliver the link or instructions right after purchase.
If it's not there, don't worry - the Event Organizer may be planning to send the information out closer to the event start time. Taking a look over the event listing may give you some additional information as well.
Look Over the Event Details
Locate the event page on brownpapertickets.com, and read over the description. There may be information from the Event Organizer as to when and how you will receive your link.
If you feel that you need further information on gaining access to the event, reach out to the organizer directly. Their details will be listed on the right side of the event page under "Contact."
If instructions were not present in your confirmation email or on the event listing, then you will most likely be receiving your link via email notification. Some events hold the link or code until right before the event.
Note: It is possible that the event host may send you the access information via email outside of the Brown Paper Tickets system.
Event organizers may use this system to send out other logistical and organization related information. Please refrain from unsubscribing until after the event because important event access details may be coming via this notification system.
Zoom is a go-to for many online events. Here are some FAQs to help you get set up.
Do you need an account to use Zoom?
A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining Zoom meetings as a participant. If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join as a participant without creating an account. However, if the host has restricted joining meetings using authentication profiles, then the participant will need a Zoom account to access the meeting. Learn more about joining a Zoom meeting.
Do I have to have a webcam to join on Zoom?
While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting or Webinar, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself. You will continue to be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view the webcam video of other participants.
